I thought the Adell and Rozalin pairing was canon, same with Almaz and Sapphire. Every Disgaea main character has a main female companion (in Laharl's case two XD) and at first I thought that Fuuka would be the main female but it appears that it's going to be Volcano (although the opening could be misleading).
