Prinny scene: I really like how they just threw in Disgaea 3 into Prinny format. I was laughing the whole time. I like how the Prinny died in his stage and they made fun of him since he died. The Prinny then responds by saying, "Its okay, I have 1000 lives!" Poor Prinny got captured and experimented on. haha

Gig: They were asking him he if hes different from humans and demons. Gig being the wonderful narcissist he is seems to boast that he is above that. After the battle he seems to want to get some hot pods, but can't leave since he lost. I kinda hate seeing Gig lose to Mao because I think Gig is way much cooler and bad ass than Mao.

Revya: Best scene. Because shes a silent protagonist, it really annoys Mao when she doesn't respond to his questions. After the fight, Almaz then explains that shes a silent protagonist, which is something Mao seemingly never heard of. He decides to take advantage of that by asking her if she will go and leave. Since she doesn't answer, he just takes that as a "no" and recruits her.

Awesome DLC so far. When the skill exhibition comes up, I'll update this post.

Well, if Gig didn't lose to Mao then he can't join the party! Maybe he was just having a bad day- but haha, the part with Revya made me laugh the most. Poor Mao, how can he play so many RPGs and not know what a silent protagonist is?!!?

LOVE what they did with the Prinny scene. That was definitely an inspired promo for the upcoming game!

And I absolutely adore the music that plays during the fight with Gig. I'm assuming it's from Soul Nomad, but since I haven't played it I have no idea which track it is.

Yes it is from SN,it's called "Rock'n Rocks". One of my most favorite themes from the game.

I have to say that was pretty hilarious with the Prinny and the other two,I'd have to agree these clips were more entertaining than the pervious...but that's just me.

The attacks are all badass, but I had the biggest grin when I saw Gig's specials. I'm especially happy that NI included a variation of Gig's final charge on Drazil in here and love the World Eater summoning. Demon Blast may not be as flashy (No awesome black/red fire and less afterimages) but it's still awesome in my book.

As for Revya, she's got some cool attacks of her own, especially a really cool one that looks like the room/squad charges in Soul Cradle.

Hero Prinny has his butt pound attack, Prinny Barrage, and the Demon Tank, but his magichange is pretty much the normal prinny's magichange.

Darn,I really want to see Gig's Demon Blast.I'll wait until someone puts it on youtube.

I actually prefer Gig's badass scythe of doom and Revya's squad charge. Doesn't mean Demon Blast isn't awesome, though.

Those were some really great moves,I loved Gig's when he splits the ground in two,and that laugh of his..classic.I have to agree,the scythe is pretty cool to have around.

I really like the Revya's squad attack. Male healer, female archer, and female mage. Exactly like the Soul Cradle team, haha. Even the attack animation was the same. Gig's skills are outright awesome. Its great to hear his bad-ass Japanese voice again.

Once again, the skills really make this month's DLC shine even more. It's gonna be tough for NIS to top this month.

I thought so... but I'm not sure what I put into each field. I am taking japanese, and I can readed hirigana and some kanji, but my laptop is fried right now, and the comp I am useing doesn;t understand japanese characters (all I get are ????????) can someone list what goes in each field?

watched it, loved it, can't wait till us Americans get DLC. Man, I really got to go play Soul Cradle. Only played an hour or so...

Also, I noticed something. After the megicahnge with Gig ran out. Instead of the sword disapearing, Revya did. Most be a side effect of useing the sword. Makes sense, and a cool thing that they added.

I noticed that! Its nice to actually have the monster survive the change.

Yeah, his innate ability allows Gig to survive instead of the character wielding him. Fits him to a key. Honestly, he's so badass that he breaks all magichange rules.

According to Unknown_PC, someone on 2ch mentioned that next DLC will include Fubuki (Ugh...he was nonexistant in BOTH the game and the manga! What's the purpose of putting him in Disgaea 3!?) and Eclair (Finally, more good news).

But you know, if Eclair is really going to be in the next DLC, that means more than half the characters on the Degenki PS poll will be DLC:
Kogure(9th), Prier (3rd), Pram (1st), Gig (2nd), and eventually Eclair (7th). The only ones left would be Alex (4th), Ash (5th), Pleinair (6th), and Liliet (8th). So what am I trying to say? @e've got the top 3 plus Kogure and Eclair, so now I'm hoping for the last four to show up or even just Ash to show up. Oh my god, I hope that's what NI will be doing...

they should put those last 4 in for next month, plus maybe something else to keep us occupied. They did say there would be new chapters to download way back when right? not one yet. Personally I would like to see a new weapon type or to, maybe whips and Scythes.

And I doubt Fubuki would be in. like you said, so little screen time, plus he would be a Yukimaru clone.

I do hope they decide to either go a few more months, or give us extra charaecters next month. Those 4, and maybe Midboss and some other monster types from past Nipon Ichi games.

For some reason, I want to think that N1 is going to release the rest of who was on the poll on the very last DLC they're making for D3. I have no idea why I'm thinking this, but yeah ¬.¬

God. He was so useless.

I am so with you. He was so useless in both the game and the manga. His only purpose was to motivate Yukimaru and even I think that she could've been better off without him (Adell was enough of a motivator for her). It's bad enough Tink took a DLC spot awhile back, but at least he was a monster-type with amusing magichange skills. Fubuki, on the other hand, would be a complete waste of space since A)No magichange skills means only his unique specials will entertain, B)His specials are carbon copies of Yukimaru without the cute 'de gozaru'/'zam'. I really don't want him in here. I hope 2ch really does turn out to be wrong about Fubuki. Don't mind if Eclair stays though. As long as Ash eventually makes it.

There's only two months of DLC left, it's really getting kind of ... bleak.

With Gig showing up, though, there may be a chance. Plus if the information on Eclair is right, then there might be a chance the last four on the poll will make it in. I mean, it's strange that the characters ranked 7th and 9th on the poll would make it with the top 3.

At least Tink had somewhat of a role in the story, even if it was to be the butt-monkey. But considering they did add the Muffler Prinny, I wouldn't be surprised if they did add Fubuki. ~~Well, at least we can play on the whole PROMO part of the Muffler Prinny.~~

I feel kinda bad saying this, but I'm a bit conflicted on Eclair. Part of me is going "hell yeah, more LP, this is awesome", another part of me is going "... but why Eclair out of everybody else?"

But yeah, Ash will probably make it, since everyone on that list seems to be making it in. If he doesn't, well... I'm already imagining Angie going on a massive roaring rampage of ~~revenge~~ disappointment at N1's headquarters...

If we take the Degenki poll as official, then the reason why is simply because Eclair was the only other La Pucelle character on the poll. To my knowledge, I don't remember seeing Croix or anyone else on the poll, though NI could always suddenly throw in someone unexpected like they did with Aramis. Still, as long as everyone else on the poll makes it, ESPECIALLY ASH, I'm fine with Eclair showing up (Super sexy Dark Eclair better be showing up as well).

Yeah, but that was gripe from the beginning. Why only Prier (if she counts as LP anymore, anyway) and Eclair? It's like saying we'll only include Aramis and not the Disgaea trio... well ok, maybe that analogy fails now simply because we've seen the trio EVERYWHERE! Dunno, it just feels weird not to include more "important" characters... but then again, any LP DLC is good LP. And yes, it can't be Eclair without Sexy Eclair showing up. And who knows, maybe the rest of the cast will show up in a cut scene (à la Marona in MK) or in attacks (Hi Danette~)

Ok, stupid question. What's so special about the dragon in the skills video? Also, I take it Revya is a human type and Gig is a monster?

Also, this makes me want to play Soul Nomad now. I've had it for a year and haven't touched it yet. -_-;

The Dragon in Disgaea 3 is basically an homage to Piccolo of the Dragon Ball series. In his character class intro, he comes in dying and shoots out an egg to be reborn. Piccolo did that in Dragon Ball. Lastly, one of the Dragon's attacks is Makankosappo which is Piccolo's most recognized attack. During the attack, the human character even holds the enemy in place when the Dragon fires. Its a reference to the scene where Goku sacrificed himself so Piccolo could kill Raditz.

Is it in the game originally, or is it downloadable with the rest of this month's characters?

Ugh, how could they put that loser in after they gave such a treat this month? How could have that got leaked so fast though...

Also, in a way I'm kinda thinking that screen is BS because the actual DLC stages don't even say the names of the characters.

Well, I'd like confirmation on the validity of that screen too, but if "placeholder" is there, it might simply be because it's still beta and they haven't found a proper stage name yet.

Well I'm not exactly sure how accurate 2ch is with these things, so it could be BS.
