Hi everyone!

I'm usually not much of a journal poster (more of a lurker) but I recently picked up the disgaea DS game (and have since then put in 78 hours into it.. ) Anyways, I decided to do some fan arts ): Because I cant write, so I express my fan girl syndromes in drawings. Speaking of which, there isn't too much disgaea fan art out there. If anyone has some, share please.




First I tried disgaea style and failed epically.

Then I tried chou niku style, but doing so made me feel like a pedophile. Big eyes, shiny skin ):, something about that just screams pedo. (but that's okay because I'm a girl and not some 40 year old man living in his mother's basement)

I draw everything in SAI and touch up in photoshop 7.
I have more artworks on my website or deviantart but they're old and need to be deleted

Because I only own a ds (and probably will only own a ds for the rest of my life,)  I have yet played disgaea 2 or 3 ):.  But since the second game is coming out on psp, MAYBE I can pray it'll come on the DS too, eventually. Hopeully.


Anyways, I'll probably be drawing more fan arts until I grinded enough to get every ending on the game, and unlock every hidden char. So stay tuned! (maybe)

Well i certainly wouldn't say you failed at all, it looks great! I've always wondered what ya have to do to get it to look like that, XD, I've been trying but I usually fail.

haha for the lineless style, I just drew the outlines, and colored on top of it in ONE single layer ): It was horrible! I went over the same spots over and over again.

Thanks everyone for the comments :D. Yea I realized you win some and lose some on the styles department, I'm super picky with what I like so coloring definitely can't get neglected.

I usually go on drawing spurs (and stop for months at a time) so I'll see if I can draw before my break ends (and look into the contest!)

OHHhhh I saw that Laharl on deviantart just yesterday too. XD He's very cute! :D The other picture is too. XD Your colouring is very nice! :O

And ah ha... it's... funny your comment about Chou Niku. I gather actually him and Harada are/were? actually doujinshi artists. l-lol

Actually though newer art by Harada has bigger eyes and stuff. There's times I kinda miss the style he used for Disgaea's original art...
