Disgaea 4 Returns, Criminal Girls INVITATION announced for PS Vita; Asagi Project in the works

This week at the Makai Wars Live concert, Nippon Ichi teased that they would announce a few games that "fans have been asking for".

Criminal Girls INVITATION is set for release this winter, with Disgaea 4 Return slated for next year.

Well, if the game and characters got as high as they did on the polls, there must be a fanbase. Still...Criminal Girls...

Still, I'm definitely excited for the Asagi game and while I think it's still too early to be releasing a port, I'm looking forward to what they may add in Disgaea 4 Return.

Looking on Wikipedia, Disgaea 4 Returns actually still keeps the pattern of the series having a portable re-release three years after the original comes out:

Disgaea: PS2 (2003), PSP (2006)
Disgaea 2: PS2 (2006), PSP (2009)
Disgaea 3 PS3 (2008), PSV (2011)
Disgaea 4: PS3 (2011) PSV (2014)

I think the reason why it feels so early is because with the first three titles the newest installment was either very close to release or was finishing up development. Disgaea 4 seems to be different because we haven't actually seen anything from Disgaea 5 due to all the 20th Anniversary stuff.
