Yeah, NISA's getting really ridiculous with the name changes lately. York Neely is so over the top that there's no way I can support the English release of Cross Edge, since that will just encourage them to continue with these stupid changes.

I don't know. For the most part, I've accepted most of the NISA name changes. I didn't mind most of Mana Khemia's name changes and I thought some of the name changes in Soul Nomad rolled off my tongue a little easier than the Japanese names (I forgot what Odie's name was in Japanese, but I do remember that I preferred "Odie" over that name. The only thing I didn't like was changing the title from Soul Cradle to Soul Nomad). I was a little upset when Akutare became Axel, but I'll accept anything over Octalley (Not to mention I've gotten used to call him Axel).

I will admit, though, that the one arashiken mentioned was pretty lame and Carona sounds strange (Not to mention it sounds like that beer my dad drinks all the time).

Odie's Japanese name is ヨードー. In English that could come out as either Yodo or Yord. None of those look good. If anyone really did skip out on Soul Nomad just because of the title change, I really pity them.

I find nothing wrong with the name York. Neely only sounds weird to me because I have this pre-disposition outlook due to a pro-wrestler who I didn't like has the name Bam Neely.

Yeah, it was Yodo. I definitely like Odie better. I didn't skip out on Soul Nomad, obviously, but Soul Cradle just sounded better to me. This is coming from the person who accepted Makai Kingdom over Phantom Kingdom and Rhapsody over Puppet Princess of Marl Kingdom.

Well, to me, at least it's better than that one guy who claims NI is forcefully removing Japanese voice acting from their games even though happened only, let's see, ONCE (Twice if you count the Mana Khemia port)!

I know an undub version of Mana Khemia exists, but I think that one only has Japanese voices (with English battle voices). I couldn't see how they could get dual audio functioning properly with a game of that size.

I don't see what the big deal with changing the name to Carona. Kurone honestly wouldn't look any better when typed in English.

I feel like some are being way too silly when it comes to such moot changes like this. Its not like it makes the game bad or less enjoyable (if anyone really believes this I pity them).

The only thing I can see from making her name Carona are jokes about Walnut asking her for beer or jokes about how her personality is the way it is because it sounds like a beer.
