Witch's Tale Japanese Release Date

Today, Witch's Tale was released in Japan. Dengeki has followed up with a release date post showing some new art and screenshots of the game.

Story from Play Asia :

Ridel is an ambitious student who seeks to rediscover old spells that has never been used in the modern days. During her research, she accidentally discovers a book that seals an evil witch within and frees the said witch unintentionally.

The Witch has a grudge against Queen Alice who sealed her within the book and sets off to defeat the princesses who have the powers of the deceased queen. If the witch succeeds, then the world will sink into chaos.

To clean up the mess she has started, Ridel teamed up with the vampire Ru who knows all about ancient magic and history and together they journey to protect the princesses against the threats.

Lol I have no idea why, and I don't mean any offense...but when I look at these screenshots all I can see is RPG Maker 2003 (that I had way back when..lol). I think I need to see a gameplay video or something to convince me this wasn't made in RPG Maker :P
