Disgaea 2 Dual Voice Acting and DLC, Trinity News Video Update

Hello burnfist23,

Thank you for contacting us again about the Japanese voice over in Disgaea 2 (PSP).

It is now confirmed that it has a dual voice over. When you start the game, you can go to the “setting” and change the voice option to Japanese.

As for DLC, we are working on getting all the DLC available in Japan . However, there are some DLC we couldn’t bring over to this side of shore due to the technical issue.

Regarding Dark Éclair and Ash, we haven’t acquire these characters from Japan side, but hopefully we will get them in the near future!

From the sound of it, we might be getting DLC on or around the time of the game's release. The technical issue is probably that DLC glitch that I've been hearing about lately.

From what I've gathered about that, the last DLC release (Baal, the costume swap, and the Toro and Kuro weapons) was some special DLC that was meant to be only released in Japan and NISA is not authorized to release it. I'm actually more pissed off about the absence of the Baal battle than anything. When I'm in completionist mode, I want to be able to unlock everything and having to see that one last slot in the music shop always remain blank just because NISA can't release the battle required to unlock it is just really upsetting.

Oh I see... damn that sucks. I know how you feel about the whole completionist thing. I wish the parent company would just let that stuff come outside of Japan. They should know most if not all of their fans are crazy for this kind of stuff. I just feel like we're really teased with the Beryl/Hime-sama theme and we can't get the costume swap.

Oh well, I'm buying the Japanese append disc so I'll have them one way or another. What I find funny about the append disc is that its less than half the price of all the DLC put together.

I'm not exactly sure what it is, but I heard from HolyLancer from GameFAQs that NI got a lot of e-mails about a DLC glitch in Disgaea 2 Portable. Chances are that's what NISA was referring to when they mentioned a technical issue.
