Atelier Annie
Official Atelier Annie Website
The English website for Atelier Annie surfaced not too long ago. The story sounds rather light-hearted and comical. Annie is just some lazy girl who dreams of marrying a sugar daddy and living a rich life. However, because she is so lazy, all she does is stay home. One night while Annie is sleeping her Grandfather sends her off to Sera Island to work on some resort development project. Annie wakes up to find some little boy named Pepe who tells her she has to participate in the project by using alchemy. Of course Annie doesn't want to due to her lazy nature, but when she find out the person who contributes the most to the project gets to marry the Prince of Orde and live a wealthy life, she decides to dedicate herself. Anyone knowledgable of Atelier Lise (Liese, who is also in this game) can see that Annie is much like her DS predeccesor. It's also noteworthy to mention there will be NO English dub for Atelier Annie. All voices are in Japanese and can be turned on or off.
Pre-orders at Rosenqueen are also up. One version is the premium box with comes with 2 nendoroid-like figures of Annie and Pepe. It's priced at $39.99 and has only 550 units available. The Japanese version is priced at about $70, so we Americans gamers are getting quite a deal compared to the Japanese gamers. There's also a normal edition which costs $10 less at $29.99. I already pre-ordered a copy of the premium box although I already bought the Japanese version a long time ago. Its such a toss up; I never know if NIS America will bring over box set and pre-order goodies from Japan when they release their games (sometimes they do, sometimes they dont). So far many of my guesses have been off. I guess I can have a set of Annie and Pepe figures out while I keep the newer ones closed, give the figures away to a friend or just sell them. Heck, I'm even debating just switching over to the normal edition.
