Oh lol why are the fans so good at predicting stuff?XD In the novel he was like O_O at first, but was actually pretty happy that Etna finally recognized him as a true overlord and said (in a roundabout way) that she won't be actively planning to backstab him anymore....although she still loves the idea of being the overlord. I just watched the ending on nicovideo, and damn, Etna protecting Hanako almost redeemed herself in my eyes! One of the small crowning moments of awesome for her, imho. I also found it hilarious whenever Hanako and Laharl talked to each other, since they're voiced by the same person in the Japanese version.

lol what? How did Adell get involved in this mess!? Stay with Rozalin!XD Is Flonne a shipper on deck or what? Are all the drama CDs this cracked up?

It wasn't mentioned yet, but here's a little snippet of Laharl/Gwen/Flonne interaction:

The two of them walked ahead, side by side. It wasn't long before they were in deep conversation, looking as if they've known each other for a long time. Flonne has never seen Laharl smile so openly as he did now, and she couldn't help but feel a bit estranged.

"Why is Laharl smiling like that? And he's lost his arrogant attitude. I'd prefer him this way!"

Flonne muttered under her breath, unconsciously puffing her cheeks. Laharl turned around and spotted her expression.

"You hold a strange expression. What's wrong?"

"Yes! My face is strange! I'm not pretty, unlike that girl!"

"What are you talking about?" Laharl asked, confused.

"Aren't you scared of mature women?"

"As long as they're not busty, no."

At Laharl's comment, Flonne peeked at the girl in front of them and visibly relaxed. "It's true that she isn't very well endowed."

"What are you guys talking about?" The girl turned around and asked.

"N-nothing." Laharl hurriedly changed the subject. "Right, I haven't introduced myself yet, have I? I am Laharl."

"I'm Flonne."

"I'm Gwen." Flonne was deep in thought after hearing that name, she swore she heard it somewhere before. But Laharl remained unmoved and asked "How old are you?"

Gwen turned around and looked at Laharl.

"Laharl!" Flonne reprimanded Laharl angrily.

"Twenty-four."

"Any children?"

"None."

Flonne poked Laharl's back. "Laharl, it's very rude of you to ask!"

"She doesn't mind."

"Still! That's too direct, don't you think?"

"What? Are you angry?" Gwen didn't understand Flonne's anger.

"Nothing." Flonne closed her mouth.

-skip some lines-

"Is the king inside?" Laharl asked, surprised. Gwen replied with pride, "My king is always on the front lines."

"You too?"

"Of course!"

Laharl turned pale at Gwen's attitude.

"Don't. What if you die in battle?"

Flonne was shocked at his words - it didn't sound like something the ruler of the Netherworld would say, taking pleasure in the death of others might be more fitting.

But isn't caring for others also a show of love?

Flonne happily nodded her head. But somewhere in her heart, she was bothered.

"It's natural to die in battle. Of course, if the king died, I could not imagine how I would live."

Gwen smiled lightly at seeing Laharl's shock, and gently held his hands.

"Is the king that important to you?"

"Yes, he is my everything." Gwen admitted without the slightest hint of embarrassment.

"...I see." Looking crestfallen, Laharl shook his hands out of her grasp and slumped his shoulders.

Gwen lightly patted Laharl's hair. "Too bad, if you were older, I might have to compare you two."

Laharl whole-heartedly felt Gwen's light touch on his messy hair, and muttered in an inaudible voice, "That...will never happen."

Only Flonne heard his lonely voice.

She suddenly felt a searing pain in her chest, and couldn't say a word. Why do I feel such pain? Even she couldn't give an answer.
