Disgaea 3 for the Vita Confirmed.

Didn't think anyone would notice if I updated the old post so I'm making this new post to let everyone know that Disgaea 3 is indeed coming to the Playstation Vita as Disgaea 3 returns.

It is going to have improvements over the original such as the use of close-up character pics as seen in Disgaea 4 (hmm... possibility of the HD sprites appearing), four new scenarios, two new characters and all the DLC from the PS3 will be included.

Hmm... who here wants to bet that one of the new scenarios will feature Fuka, Desco, and Emizel?

• Disgaea 3 Return will be playable at Tokyo Game Show, starting September 15th.
• The four new scenarios take place after the main plot line, each of which features a different main character.
• These new scenarios are meant to "put the spotlight" on minor cast members
• One of the new scenarios has two brand new characters
• The fourth scenario is so long that it could be considered a fifth one as well.
• D3 Return features every piece of the Disgaea 3 on PS3's DLC, which includes the Raspberyl Scenario.
• NIS is interested in "positional" information (read: 3G support) and touch screen support for D3 Return.
• DLC for D3 Return is being considered. Any DLC for the game would involve characters from Disgaea 4.
• Sprites are not being redrawn, efforts were focused on creating new game content instead of doing this.
• The game "looks beautiful" on Vita's screen.
• Game is not yet running on Vita cart, but apparently may load faster than PS3 version.
• Disgaea 3 Return is the test case on Vita for Nippon Ichi Software. The response (fan, critic, sales) will define how NIS approaches the Vita in the future.

While I am a bit disappointed that the sprites weren't being redrawn, I feel it is a small price to pay for all of this new content that we are getting, well I know I'm buying it Day 1.

I'm not surprised the sprites are not being redrawn. There's so much they would have to redraw for the game. That said, I'm definitely getting this day 1.

Hmm, I was a bit skeptical at first, but four new scenarios? And one that's much longer than the rest? This is interesting... just as long as it's not like "One scenario = 1 chapter".

Though, spotlights minor characters... unless this also includes old DLC... I'm expecting Diez Gentlemen focus... and the Vato brothers. Not sure what to think about this though.
