Yeah, I don't how that's happening but from what I've read, most of those experiencing the problem are using Scorpio Blue. Those who aren't experiencing the problem are either using the default HDD that came with their PS3 or a different HDD (Someone on the NISA forums said that Scorpio Black is working fine with the game, which I eventually decided to get.)
I checked what other games to see what else was having trouble with the HDD since I had not played some of them since switching to the Scorpio Blue and I began to really notice a few of them did suffer from a bit of slowdown or delay. Certain attacks in Disgaea 3 (Particularly Gig's Look At My Power) that I remember pulling off without a hitch did have a bit of delay, though nowhere near as frequent as with Disgaea 4.
