Hyper Dimension Neptune Chapter 5

http://www.famitsu.com/comic_clear/se_neptune/

Neptune and Blanc have been noticing there are some really shady guys in black suits walking around lately and Histoire has been acting rather suspiciously. Nippon Ichi's justice senses has picked up on this as well and thus drags the two to uncover this mystery and fight some evil.

-------
Speaking of Neptunia, the game has been out for almost a month now and some DLC has been released including playable Nisa and Gust. Is anyone enjoying the game?

I have to admit that I'm getting tired of Idea Factory recycling enemies especially ones I fought way back in Agarest War and Cross Edge. Its easy to tell that most of the effort went into the girls. Its lacking substance, but its got enough charm to keep me playing and enjoy it. Its currently trading places with Disgaea 4 on my playlist.

It's not bad, for an Idea Factory game. That's saying something.

Of course, it'd be a much better game if we got to see all these scenes the characters run into actually acted out, instead of the girls telling us what they see. And if we got to run around in the towns instead of just navigating through menus.

They could've taken much more advantage of the console wars/game industry jokes as well. Why are we fighting (for the most part) generic RPG monsters in generic RPG dungeons? Shouldn't there be some parody dungeons or really obviously ripped off monsters, besides the very few I've seen so far?

Oh, and the usual terrible ripoff DLC we've come to expect.

That places it more in the mediocre category than the memorable one. That being said, it is passable, and pretty fun. I really love the character designs.

Well, it's definitely not as good as Trinity Universe. There's a lot less CG and a lot less fun. It's very repetitive, and not fun (most of the time). But it has an interesting premise and nice character designs (even Compa, who is probably the most annoying character in existence). I was getting close to beating it (Leanbox), but then it suddenly had a glitch (thanks) and it froze and I lost all my data up to then. Ugh.

I may get the DLC, though. I still think it's unfair how they make Nippon Ichi and Gust useless until you BUY their powers, although they're already in your party.

Wow, reading all of this makes me glad I did not buy Neptune.

Dunno about you guys, but I'm enjoying it. I expected it to be an evolved version of TU anyway with... in my opinion better characters. So I was pretty fine with it. I'm surprised to think the Dub is a hell lot better though.
