Information and scans on the manga has been very slow and I'm wondering where Chou Niku is going to with the manga. I'm worried he might rush it like the Disgaea 3 manga.

Regardless, the manga has apparently reached the point where Emizel is properly introduced (After several chapters focused on Fuka) but what really caught my attention was this:

From the few scans in this blog entry, it looks like the manga is currently up to chapter 2 (Or rather chapter 1 since the prologue chapter is considered chapter 0).

Just from the first two chapters, it looks really good, thanks to Chou Niku's artwork (Not that I disliked the previous game's manga adaptations, especially Disgaea 2's). From the looks of it, it will be a straight adaptation but I'm hoping that, like the manga of the previous three games, Chou Niku will have a few surprises in store.

Neptune and Blanc have been noticing there are some really shady guys in black suits walking around lately and Histoire has been acting rather suspiciously. Nippon Ichi's justice senses has picked up on this as well and thus drags the two to uncover this mystery and fight some evil.

Chapter 3 was actually released a month ago but I forgot all about it. Chapter 3 is a New Years chapter.

In chapter 4, Neptune gets sick so IF, Compa, and Gust try to find a cure.

As with the previous chapters, there's a lot of fan service.

The post just says he's hiring someone to do toning and other things (According to an online translation), but the title mentions the Disgaea 4 manga that will be published Dengeki Maoh (Also published the Disgaea 2 manga btw).

There's still no word on whether or not Sow Kamishiro will do another Disgaea light novel (There hasn't been an update on his site or blog in ages), but more Chou Niku art is always welcome.

Well, it seems like it's the final chapter. Again, the manga is so sporadic that it's kinda hard to digest everything and possibly needs a translation to even understand. That said, I do like that Almaz finally gets a chance to be awesome.

It doesn't exactly look like it's adapting the game (Though I've only seen a couple of cutscenes and haven't played the game). Compa and If don't show up either.
