And that's the news this past week, has anything caught your eye? Review embargo has broken for The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, and it's looking like a fairly solid JRPG entry. (Releases 9/27.)

Offline's been extremely hectic this past month, my sincerest apologies for having fallen behind on the newsletter! I'll be scouring for other noteworthy updates in a later post this weekend, such as the announcement of various titles being confirmed for English release. Thank you for your understanding and patience!

It's possibly not too relevant for most folks here, as the game was restricted to Japan and required some light finagling to download it into phones in other regions... but, after four years of service, Makai Wars has been officially announced to be coming to an end in October this year.

To elaborate a little: It's a collaboration mobile game between NIS and CloverWorks, and featured characters from across the various Disgaea entries, as well as Ragna Quest. As the name might suggest, Asagi was indeed the main character, set off to collect heroes to aid her and feed the gacha machine etc etc.

It's the inevitable curse of gacha games, unfortunately! I can't say I hadn't seen it coming, for the past few months the official twitter had dwindled to just maintenance notices with nary a banner or event in sight. I didn't play it with too much regularity (downloaded for one character and event, really), but what I did play was okay. It does have an option to play through old events, so it might be worth poking through some of them during the short while it's still around.
