A few DISGAEArt scans

Not scanning the whole thing for obvious reasons. It's smaller than the Takehito Harada Art Works since it's more Disgaea centric (The four main games, the Prinny series, Infinite, and the Mugen Keitai cell phone game. The other cell phone game is absent.) but with the exception of the DISGAEArt cover, the battle cuts, and the ending art work Minus the Disgaea 4 epilogue art for some reason, all of the Harada artwork can be found in the Art Works book. If you want only one book or just want to save and not pay almost $100 for them together, I'd suggest getting Harada Art Works ($48+) over DISGAEArt ($42+).

It does have artwork from other artists besides Harada such as Chou Niku's cover and pullout artwork from the light novels and the Disgaea 3 themes Though no artwork from either of the four manga, but the rest is mainly in-game artwork which we've all probably seen already.

A couple of things I found interesting:
* The book goes in reverse order starting with Disgaea 4 and ending with Disgaea 1 with the rest of the book covering the spinoff games and promo art.
* Surprisingly, it uses English titles instead of the Japanese titles:
- Section 1: Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten
- Section 2: Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice
- Section 3: Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories
- Section 4: Disgaea: Hour of Darkness
- Section 5: The World of Disgaea

You beat me to the punch. I was going to do an artbook followup as well.

If you guys had to only choose one, I'd also definitely recommend Takehito Harada Art Works I over Disgaeart. Like burnfist said, about 60-70% of the work found in Disgaeart is present in Art Works and Disgaeart lacks the stages of progress that that Art Works has. Art Works is a much higher quality book so I'd give a better rating to that one. Though being the NIS nut I am, I was perfectly fine with buying both. ^^;

I wish it really didn't take such a huge bite out of my wallet but I'm satisfied that I bought both of them. Now I don't feel bad for not preordering the Premium Figurine set.

Depending on when he drew/colored this, it could just be an aftereffect of his work on No. 6.

Is that so? I though the book would have all the Disgaea art (not character profiles and stuff, but takehito art) from the four games :( How dissapointing...

It has all the Disgaea centric Harada art from the four main games. What I was talking about is the lack of manga artwork even though the light novel artwork is present. My only guess is that they consider the light novels more "official" than the manga.
