Asagi: Has arrived to her big Super Idol debut...and no one is there. She's wondering what exactly might have happened when she spots Laharl and the rest and wonders what they're doing on her stage on the day of her big concert debut. Laharl has to remind her that there's no one here and thus fight. After the fight, Asagi finds out that Laharl is the Overlord and realizes she has the chance of a lifetime. With the Overlord at her side, she might get special benefits and if there's a chance of Laharl turning his back, she might be able to take the title of Overlord for herself. Of course, she monologues all this out loud. I guess when you're an idol in the Disgaea series, you're no longer allowed to keep your monologues to yourself. Surprisingly, Laharl is kinda okay with this and decides to let her do whatever she wants. She doesn't mention anything about becoming main character but she's still planning to off the main character for his spot so I guess old habits die hard.

...Not too surprised Laharl is okay with this. This is HIS game; he's the main character. He's not about to get beaten by Asagi. ;)
