Disgaea 2 manga Vol. 3 scans: The Adell is GAR chapters

The U.S. version will be released some time in January (Though I heard October as well). For those who want to take a look at the manga beforehand, I bought the Japanese version a few months ago and have decided to scan it. Hopefully I'll cover all the chapters before the release of Disgaea 3 and the Disgaea: Enter the Maoh light novel (I knew it would be released on the same day. Oh and I think World of Disgaea 2 has been released. I saw it while I was in Hawaii). Anyway, right now I'm covering chapters 1-3. You'll have to wait for the rest.

As always, anyone is free to use the scans as long as I get credit for them whether they be icons or wallpapers or whatnot. For most of them, I didn't scan each page individually, so if you want an individual page or even just a specific panel, then ask me. What I won't do is scan each individual page. That takes waaaay too long. I only chose the best images.







So we last left off with Adell supposedly falling to his doom and Etna wiping out all the monsters.


As we all know, Etna found Rozalin thanks to Tink selling that picture of Rozalin to the Prinny. Rozalin is obviously not to happy and, unlike the game, doesn't mind snapping her childhood friend's neck.


I suggest getting used to seeing Rozalin like this. I can't count how many times she cries in this volume.


A really powerful demon lord/beauty queen is waving a spear in your face Rozalin, yet you decide to call her flat?


Yeah, I'm pretty sure Rozalin will take back what she said now that Etna blew up maybe a third of the woods/swamp.


Or not...


Adell, why couldn't you be this GAR in your own game?


Rozalin: You battle maniac, why do you have to be so GAR? Can't you see your GAR-ness just wiped out every monster here!


Adell: That's because being GAR is my style!


Yeah, get used to the Etna panty shots. Heck, get used to the fanservice and suggestive images in this volume cuz there's probably more of that in this manga than in any of the previous ones. Oh and by the way Etna, that was a nice kick and all...


But THIS is how you do a kick!


Etna tries to spray him with a bunch of energy blasts, but Adell has been dodging every single one of them.


Of course, Adell being so freakishly GAR and all dodges the energy blasts and drives his foot right into Etna with Soaring Fire. Did I mention how GAR Adell is in this volume?


Of course, if someone's too GAR to handle, send in the Prinnies with Prinny Raid.


Adell handles it pretty well, but being GAR can't always prevent him from being taken by surprise...


Or being taken out by a level 1000 foot to the back of the head. Ouch...


Or being toasted by a giant swirling ball of death...




Etna promises to spare Adell if Rozalin looks her boot. Now there's no problem with that...except...there's no way I can look at that scene without any dirty thoughts...


Of course, Adell has to be too GAR to let that happen and is ready to go kick ass again...


Except that Rozalin's crying stops the entire thing. Oh look! Loli Rozy!


Well, luckily, Etna just flies off while Rozalin and Tink try to carry Adell home. Unfortunately, they can't hold him and Adell ends up sitting on Tink. *sigh* Why do you have to be so GAR, Adell? Luckily, someone is here to help.


Though she shows up a little earlier than expected.


Next time on "Tink on Your Butt": Let's torch Adell's pants!


Adell doesn't seem to mind, though.

Honestly, these chapters make me wish that Disgaea 2 was a little more like this. Perhaps a little understandable why they didn't do it since you are the one doing the battling, but they should've pulled off the scene similar to this. Seriously, Hekaton did the one thing NI couldn't: make Adell freakishly awesome! *sigh* If only NI did something like this in Disgaea 2...

Btw, I did miss two of the three Next Episodes. One was Tink being with stars after Etna sends him through the skies during the chapter and the other was done in the style of what looks like Doraemon.

Anyway, that's all for now. Expect a lot of fanservice in the upcoming chapters.

It didn't even have to be animated. It could've been Adell's sprite coming out of nowhere and grabbing Etna or they could've showed just a single picture of Adell grabbing Etna's spear. Adell running into Etna's lv. 1000 ball of death just didn't work for me.

You don't know the half of it. Wait for the last Disgaea 2 chapter in this volume (The last chapter, like the previous volume, focuses on the Disgaea trio again.

But you know, maybe if it was in English, I'd probably get why she's crying a little more, but right now it doesn't really help Rozalin's character, especially since her character was much better than Adell in the game.

I really enjoyed the fight between Adel and Etna,and I totally agree...I wish they did make the fights scenes like this,in the actual game.It was really well done.

Definately looking forward to when the manga comes to the U.S.,I can't wait to buy it!

Part of me is thinking that she doesn't even have her gun. Outside of the little sneak preview, she hasn't pulled it out even once.
