Disgaea 2 manga Vol. 3 scans: The AdellXRozalin and Fanservice Chapters
I'm glad I'm not the only who loved those first three chapters. Again, this is the Adell I've always hoped for in the game. Anyway, I've got chapters 4 and 5 up. Those who love some AdellXRozalin, Yukimaru, and fanservice, then you'll definitely love these chapters.
Again, I'd like to point that any scan I post here will be available for anyone to use. So go ahead and save them if you want. If you want to use them to make icons or post them on other sites, then you're free to do so as long as I get some credit for it. If you want individual scans or close-ups of any panels, then feel free to ask. If you want each and every individual scan, however, look for someone else to scan it, buy the Japanese release, or wait for the U.S. release. I don't have the time to do that.
In the last chapter, Adell was pretty messed up after being so freakishly GAR and taking that lv. 1000 kick to the head. Yukimaru was nice enough to help Rozalin and Tink get Adell home. Tileyfa, the Cleric of Holt's Dark Hospital, has checked up on Adell and is here to tell Mama that Adell is dead.
Nah, I'm just kidding. No one that GAR would kick the bucket like that (Of course, every time I think about how Kamina died...). Anyway, he's fine. He just needs some rest. Besides, he's got Rozalin at his side.
Mama is obviously relieved and so are Friday and Moocho.
Meanwhile, Yukimaru is really loving that cake Hanako made. She loves it so much that she pays her with a...a...hey, what the hell is that thing?
Something to do about Fubuki and the three trying to replicate Fubuki's eyes (Wonder what Fubuki would do if he saw that...)

If you remember playing the game, this is basically the part where Axel and the Director go and kidnap Hanako and Taro, leading to Axel's rematch against Adell at Dragon's Mouth. At least, this is supposed to be it.
Adell is much more awesome in this manga, but I still love you, Axel. Also, am I the only one who thinks the Director and the Camera Zombie look hilarious in their suits?
They were supposed to kidnap these two? It looks more like Taro and Hanako could easily hold them ransom if they wanted to. Not like holding three supposedly dead guys would get them anything.
Well, the director and the camera zombie got them where they want them with that...chocolate covered chicken or whatever the hell that is. All is going according to plan now and we should be heading towards the manga's version of Episode 4, but this is where the manga completely deviates from the game and it will happen in 3...2...1...

Lol, Hanako is really good at starting a mob. She gets practically all of Holt on their tail. And after seeing that shot of Mama in those three Sage's head, I think we've seen just about every important Disgaea 2 female nude except for Etna. Then again, in the bonus chapter, you might as well say she's nude with what she's wearing. Oh and Moocho should consider himself lucky. It's not every day that your favorite Dark Hero uses you as a shield for oncoming shurikens.
Just when all of Holt and Yukimaru thinks they've got them cornered, Axel pulls out the smoke bombs. I love the face he put on them.
Well, Axel manages to get away, leaving the crew behind. Too bad he's still gonna get his face beaten in...in probably the most predictable way. And it'll happen in 3...2...1...
Again, no comment.
I think this is the third time he got a fist smashed into his face and he was even sent flying into Dragon's Mouth. As always, the news crew claims that Axel is just another look-alike. Probably the only part of the game that was kept intact in this volume.
And now we reach the end of episode 5 with more Yukimaru fanservice.
Another thing I like about the Disgaea 2 manga is that it's more clearer about Adell and Rozalin's relationship and seems less forced. I mean, you know that Adell and Rozalin love each other in the game. Adell even kisses her at the end, but it really isn't developed. You never get those moments where you can say that they do care about each other and are just too embarassed to come out and say it. Most of the time it's like:
Hanako: Hey, it looks like you two like each other.
Adell: We do not. I don't really like girls. This is only because of the contract.
Rozalin: Yeah, there is no way I'd fall for a guy like him!
So seeing Adell actually showing Rozalin that he would protect her even now that he's been completely beaten down and Rozalin crying for him really shows that the two love each other. Its a scene like this that makes me wish the game was more like the manga. Like the previous three chapters, if there was more like this in the game, I definitely would've enjoyed it much more. Also, this is probably the only time I won't say anything about Rozalin crying. Too bad this isn't the last time as you'll see in the next chapter.
As for chapter 5 and the chase, it was definitely hilarious. Part of me is missing the kidnapping scene since at the end of it all, it really shows how much Rozalin cares for Taro and her character kinda grows because of it, but hey, running from a mob of villagers for being considered a pervert is always funny, especially if it's Axel doing the running. They just needed some torches and pitchforks and it would've been even funnier. But yeah, there's no rematch at the river or saving Taro in the caverns. Still, I hope you liked Yukimaru and the fanservice.
I skipped chapter 5's Next Episode. I'll tell you right now it's just Tink in a chair wearing glasses. It might be funnier if translated, but for now, it's not worth posting. I also skipped a few pages in chapter 4. Two of them was just Moocho and Friday being relieved about Adell's condition leaving Mama and Tileyfa as the two talk. The other few pages are about Yukimaru trying to defeat Overlord Zenon and her noticing Rozalin's Snow Clan eyes.
Next up: Chapters 6 and 7, the playing doctor and prelude to the tournament chapters and the bonus chapter starring Etna in probably one of the skimpiest outfits I've ever seen.
