From the few scans in this blog entry, it looks like the manga is currently up to chapter 2 (Or rather chapter 1 since the prologue chapter is considered chapter 0).
Just from the first two chapters, it looks really good, thanks to Chou Niku's artwork (Not that I disliked the previous game's manga adaptations, especially Disgaea 2's). From the looks of it, it will be a straight adaptation but I'm hoping that, like the manga of the previous three games, Chou Niku will have a few surprises in store.
