Disgaea 4 U.S. Boxart?

UPDATE: NISA forum admin confirmed the boxart to be fake. Also, rrizqiw made a good point that the game hasn't received an official subtitle yet.





Not sure if this is official, but if it is, I hope they fix it so that they show Desco and Flonne's faces.

Hm, I think they're trying to emulate the Japanese box art's way of only showing part of characters so as not to spoil. Like Laharl's scarf and such on 3's box art. But uh, with art that big, the crop does look rather ridiculous. XD

That may be true, but Flonne shows up in the opening anyway so there really is no reason to crop her out, especially if it means cropping out the face of one of the main characters in the process.

Even if that was the case... it's doing a terrible job. We can pretty much guess that this is Flonne even without the face.

What was wrong with Disgaea 2's US box art? The art on that box was made specifically for the US version. It didn't even appear in the art cd or character collection book. Out of all the US versions, that one is definitely the best one.

Hmm... it looks ok, but considering the size of the image hmm... I think that this kind of image would work better.

I wouldn't mind NISA using the above image for boxart and I prefer that over the giant group picture, but they just have to at least include Desco face. I don't mind if they cut out Flonne and Nemo to prevent spoilers, but try to find way to at least keep Desco in the image.

Keep in mind the dimensions of the actual image and the space available on the PS3 slip cover. I'm pretty sure that cover shows the full horizontal dimension of the image. If it's shrunk down anymore to try and fit more stuff vertically, it won't horizontally. The dimensions of the allotted space and the actual image don't match up very well.

To fit Desco's and Flonne's head in the image would have to be panned much further down which would then cause problems for Emizel and Fuuka. The only problem is that the logo takes up a lot of space mainly due to Val being on it. However, even if the logo shrunk down, someone's face will be obstructed no matter what. The only good solution I could think of is to rid the top portion of the cover to allow the image to show through, but I doubt that will happen since that portion is tacked onto any game that is PS3 exclusive or that utilizes online play and/or DLC.

most disgaea game if not all use original art fo USA box. also there is no subheading (or sub title or whatever it is)
