The article also says that DD2 is a new series separate from the main numbered series. Whether this means more adventures for the Disgaea trio or letting Adell, Mao, or Val have another go is unknown but regardless this is all kinds of awesome.

A new siliconera article says that Dimensions will introduces new characters to the story. One of them, who is in the group shot, is Laharl's ????????

There are also rumors of monster mounts.

The background has changed to the group artwork but with everyone shadowed out with the exception of Laharl. Most likely, the others will become visible as we count down to when the official site goes live. There's also a new BGM.

So the "Dimension" Disgaeas could become a series of sequels to the normal Disgaeas? I like the idea as long as they don't make them very often, I mean there are just 4 Disgaeas right now lol.

Disgaea D2 is a continuation of the first Disgaea, set several years after the good ending. It stars Laharl, the main character of the first game, as well as Etna and Flonne. Old characters will return and new characters will be introduced. The game will have the familiar slapstick, yet serious ambiance Disgaea titles are known to offer. A remake of the first game was considered, but the team wanted to deliver a new story.

The game system will focus on the good points from Disgaea: Hour of Darkness and Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten. But since many fans believed Disgaea 4‘s system had too much volume, it’s being balanced to be closer to the original Disgaea. Disgaea‘s system is popular, said Kozakai, but there is an impression of weak spots in the story, which the team aims to repair. In terms of new elements, there are still various features that have yet to be revealed. It appears you might even be able to use monsters as mounts.

This is all kinds of awesome, but now I am afraid there will be too much Disgaea, hope try some new gameplay variants to keep it fresh, the Disgaea spin offs like the Prinny games were just as fun as any other game NIS have made IMO.

I'm pretty sure they're going to keep the cycle they've had going since Disgaea 2 (Disgaea->New game->Disgaea->New game), not to mention that they have two new titles in development and one or two more projects in their anniversary project lineup so I don't think we have to worry about seeing nothing but Disgaea.

Plus, NI has that new studio in Osaka, so I'm pretty sure if the main Gifu studio is working on Disgaea, their Osaka studio will be working on other interesting projects.

Hmm... she has red eyes, I don't know but there just some posibilities.
1)She's Lahral's mother reincarnated as an Angel.
2)Laharl's sister, His mother reincarnated as an angel and had another child with Vyers/Krichevskoy?
3)Daughter from the future XD
4)Cousin, krichevskoy or his mother had family in Celestia.

I think number 1 and 4 are maybe the more probable ones, number 2 would be weird and I put number 3 as a joke because I don't see them doing something like that.
But knowing how things are in these games it will probably be "none of the above" hahaha

Well... same colour as his mom's but not the style. Her hair is spikey much like Laharl's.

The other thing that gets me about her is the red eyes. But... angel wings. VERY CURIOUS.

But either way, the timing for it to be his mom would just seem... off. Plus if we've got Krichevskoy wandering around now again... that would just be awkward |DDDD But lot on Tumblr seem to like this idea. /)_<;

If anyone is going to be related to Laharl my money is on the purple haired girl who has a spear. The hair color is similar enough to Kirchevskoys, and she has red eyes and demonic ears increasing the chances of her being related much more than the angel. While she doesn't seem to have the antenna it is quite possible that she uses the hair band to keep them hidden. Also look at the weapon she's weilding didn't Krichevskoy use a spear.

Yeah I see the resemblance, the problem with this is that the magazine Dengeki Playstation has already said that the character that has a relation with Laharl is the little Angel behind Flonne ( Laharl's ???? as they put it).

Of course that doesn't mean that this purple haired girl could not have a relation to him or other character, but right now they have only teased about the angel girl.

...I know. Jen, why were you wasting time in photoshop to do this.... He's gone from being around 4 heads tall to 5 heads tall. He's 5 heads in the summer greeting too. I glanced through the old artbook too.. he was pretty consistently 4 heads... So. Yeah. I wager we actually have a fairly large time skip ahead of us..... or he had a quite a growth spurt. |Da

But given this is Disgaea, goodness only knows what age they're going to be setting them to. Looks don't really help. lol

I would still think so. At most, he'd probably be the same height as Etna and unless Etna grew since then, Flonne is still the tallest.

Well, had a quick look at the other two... Etna is about 5 heads and a bit and Flonne is 5 and a bit more than a bit |D so looks like Laharl>Etna>Flonne SO it's like Laharl's 5 heads, Etna's 5 1/4th heads and Flonne's around 5 and a half. Roughly. Hopefully in the future we'll see Harada's design notes :D
