• A new countdown image for Yomawari 3. Three more weeks until it releases in Japan.

April 1, 2022:

• Disgaea RPG is to be reborn as Hyper-Invicible Great Flonnger X! (Bonus mobile wallpaper.)
• Void Terrarium 2 reveals a new tamagochi toy in celebration of its upcoming release! Please take good care of Toriko-chan!
  • There was a temporary website where you could, in fact, click buttons to take care of the little friend in the device. At the start, Toriko-chan completely withered up, then had sprouted various mushrooms, though players took care of her afterward. In the end, it appears most players had been a little too generous with sweets by the conclusion of the mini-event, and Toriko-chan ended up a little round. ("But when you think about the alternatives, isn't that happiness, in a way?")

And that's the round up for this week, running a little late! Anything catch your eye? This will be the first time the west has gotten La Pucelle: Ragnarok, as previously it was a Japan-only re-release for the PSP. Rhapsody has gotten re-released in the west before, but... perhaps we should politely look the other way on that one and hope this time will be better.

Yeah, I admit my reaction to the La Pucelle/Rhapsody combo was kind of a sideways 'Errrrr' with hope that maybe this time around will be better?

Excellent timing on the La Pucelle event in Disgaea RPG though!

Yeah... yeah, the DS port of Rhapsody sure was. They're not fitting a PS1 game onto a DS cart and the gameplay previewed in the trailer maintains the original's grid system, so hopefully that means less risk of bugs.

Between hopefully-not-as-janky Rhapsody and not-as-weirdly-censored La Pucelle, it's actually feeling like a good combo. (But y'know, first thoughts and all.)

I should really get on these re-releases. And also dig through and see what I have of the originals. I definitely never got ZHP.

Yeahh, it's hard to get over that first impulse, but fingers crossed!!

I've also never actually played ZHP! It was just another of those handful of games that wasn't available at the time, but hearing that it's got some roguelike elements has me interested. I do love a randomly generated dungeon.

Yep!

For me, iirc, ZHP came out during 'the broke/busy years' where I just had a very limited entertainment/fun budget and games really weren't in it. I'm still trying to catch up on what I missed from then, but game prices are just ridiculous. So all these remasters/collections that are coming out are definitely saving my biscuits and filling in my collection. ^^;;
