I am wondering, has anyone here read the light novels? I fell upon an entry on TV Tropes regarding them, and it blew my mind. I have burning questions and am illiterate in Japanese. Is there anyone out there?

And if this is not allowed, please do not hesitate to slap me. D:

I read on TV tropes that Laharl's Aunt Yasurl/Yasuruu is responsible for Laharl's aversion to busty women. What exactly did she do to him?! D:

I really hate saying this because I like him, but after hearing that Laharl's fear of sexy women is caused by 100 years of abuse from his fanatical racist aunt, I gotta say it: Adell, you are a wuss for hating women over two scars from a clearly suspicious succubus! (I'm not sure if you've read it, but does the Disgaea 2 novelization at least paint Adell's aversion to women in a different light?)

I don't actually have access to Disagaea 2 novels, so no. But I really doubt that the author is going to paint it in a different light when Adell's reason has been given in-game, since he hasn't done anything to completely contradict canon as far as I know. (aside from Disgaea 2 taking place 120 years later)

What in-game chapter is this revealed in? Sometimes the Japanese drop comments about the novel on play vids, so if the author did give him a different reason, they'd probably mention it.

Well, I'm not expecting it to contradict canon, but I'm thinking that the novels add a little more to make it more than just "I got scratched across the face by succubus, therefore I hate women".

Okay, I checked the video out, and nobody mentioned the novel adding anything to it. In fact, one of the tags on the vid says (in a somewhat sarcastic tone) "Adell hates women because one of them scratched his face".

So yeah. I guess his wuss excuse stays as a wuss excuse.

I like Adell too, but I agree he has been pussified by all this!
