I am wondering, has anyone here read the light novels? I fell upon an entry on TV Tropes regarding them, and it blew my mind. I have burning questions and am illiterate in Japanese. Is there anyone out there?

And if this is not allowed, please do not hesitate to slap me. D:

I read on TV tropes that Laharl's Aunt Yasurl/Yasuruu is responsible for Laharl's aversion to busty women. What exactly did she do to him?! D:

You know, this being Disgaea and all, you'd think the explanation of his fear of women would be funny. IT ISN'T.

But yeah, now that I've read the novels, every time his fear of busty women comes up in the game it ends up as a Funny Aneurysm Moment for me. :/

Indeed. I'll be forever nonplussed by it now too! The novel writers basically said, "let's make Disgaea more awesome, and Laharl even more of a woobie!" He needs hugs...

I've always felt kinda bad for him, as funny as his reactions are, but... yeah, that... really kills it. D: When I heard it was the aunt, I thought it was just one too many boobsquishes. lol

She's probably rather good at it too, considering how her husband is a straight-up masochist.

The novel writer tries to not mention it directly, but it's rather obvious that she's done some horrendous things to Laharl, so I'm pretty sure her abuse extends even further.
